Oldonyo Sabuk Guest House (Panorama 2)
Here is another Panotamic view of the Oldonyo Guest House – well, the backyard at least.
In the far distant, a get-together of friends. What a wonderful weekend away and would definitely go back.
Never Forget NEVER AGAIN
A slogan used to promote the photography exhibition at the GoDown Arts Centre in Nairobi.
This exhibition highlights some SHOCKING, yet brilliant photography taken during the Post-Election violence that plagued Kenya as a whole.

Whilst I was in Nairobi during an album launch (more on this later) which happened at the venue, I got a chance to go round the exhibition hall and I have to say, you have to have a strong stomach for this showcase.
Some of the pictures are too explicit (in a violent way). Depicting what went down during Kenya’s worst time in modern day Africa.
I got a chance to speak to one of the photographers, Boniface Mwangi, with his passion for photography, risked his life and together with other photographers they documented Kenya’s violent history through the lens.
The story told in the pictures were carefully compiled into a book aptly named ‘KENYA BURNING’. Which in my opinion, is a must have esp. for Kenyans in Kenya and the diaspora. A gentle reminder of what could happen if we don’t make the right and smart choices when electing the right people to lead Kenya. The book retails at Kshs1,500.
In my opinion, if people’s views and opinions do not change to a positive outlook by 2012 elections……Kenya will definitely be in the world public eye AGAIN for the same wrong reasons and worse!
As a Kenyan, this is something that has to be highlighted.
For more information about the book and the exhibition, please follow the links above or contact Boniface Mwangi through the following avenues:
Oldonyo Sabuk – A Panoramic View
A fellow blogger, EGM, inspired me to use the photomerge on my PS3 to create a panorama photo. 9 photos later and this was the end result.
Photography Hiatus – Well Not Really!
So, I had to make a return trip to the motherland since my last entry and hence the silence up in here.
Three months later, I am now ready to showcase some of my work since I have been away. I just hope I haven’t missed that much.
With addition to my photographs, I have now created a YouTube account for videos that I captured on my travels and more.
Until I sort out my archive of photos and clips….three months worth……I shall be back.

Weddings are a joyous occasion and I am so looking forward to a special one happening in the near future.
One thing I have come to respect is the hard work people put behind and infront of the scenes just make someone’s day very special.
As a photographer with two weddings, well…..one and a half (long story about the half) under her belt, this is one occassion I can happily recommend someone to take picture instead of my dear self.
Don’t get me wrong, I like to work hard, but this kind is just not my cup of tea (and I say this with much respect for wedding photographers).
Never say never though, as I will only do a few if I have someone to back me up.
Here is to all the couples getting married this year…..God bless you and your union!
